Dieses Bild habe ich in der Neujahrsnacht gemalt…und an das wunderbare Zitat von Goethe gedacht:

" Das neue Jahr sieht mich freundlich an und ich lasse das alte mit seinem Sonnenschein und Wolken ruhig hinter mir "
 

Eigentlich war ich in der Stimmung mich von der Sonnenseite vom vergangenen Jahr inspirieren zu lassen…..aber Sie sehen:
das Ergebnis wurde wolkig und stürmisch…..

I painted this work on New Year's Eve with the wonderful quote of Goethe on my mind:

"The New Year looks kindly at me and I leave the old one with its sunshine and its clouds behind me in peace"
(freely interpreted , Goethe)

I was actually in the mood for painting the sunny side of last year… but you see the result were cloudy, stormy moments
